Workshops

1. Myofascial Release Fundamentals (Practice) – (4 hours):

Abstract:

This is a hands-on workshop that will consolidate Myofascial release level 1 & level 2.  This Face-to-face workshop will provide participants the opportunity to practice the various techniques learned through MFR level 1 & level 2 as well allow new participants to be introduced to these techniques coming from previous competencies in myofascial release background.

2. Myofascial Release Practice & case studies – (4 hours):

Abstract:

This is a hands-on workshop that will consolidate Myofascial release level 1 & level 2 with case studies. This Face-to-face workshop will provide participants the opportunity to practice the various techniques learned through MFR level 1 & level 2 as well allow new participants to be introduced to these techniques coming from previous competencies in myofascial release background. We are adding case studies to this workshop to really consolidate their knowledge.

3. Cranial Sacral Therapy 1 – (3 hours):

Abstract:

Practitioners will learn through this face-to-face workshop the anatomy and physiology of the craniosacral body structure and the therapy techniques through discussion of theory, application of these skills and learning through case studies.

Participants will have an opportunity to practice these techniques and share their observations as well questions about this practice in their own client repertoire of tools as a manual osteopath health care professional.

Application of techniques:
– The occiput: cranial Prana Yama, the suboccipital hold, and the occipital approach to the transverse sinus techniques,
– The sphenoid: sphenoid four – finger hold and the sphenobasilar decompression as well the sphenoid external coupled contact with mandible and with Zygoma
– The temporals: three finger contact, scalene and temporal hold head turned to one side, the temporal palming lateral structures,
– The parietals: the basic parietal hold, the parietal lift and the Chi Kung to the Crown Soul techniques,
– Review the closing technique Cranio – Sacral hands to balance energy and fulcrum.

4. Cranial Sacral Therapy 2 – (3 hours):

– The frontal: frontal anterior decompression, the clear the confusion and the frontal – zygoma – mandible triple spread techniques,
– Ethmoid bone: Ethmoid Frontonasal Opposed Finger and Thumb Contact as well Ethmoid Frontonasal Single-Thumb Contact
– Zygomatic bone: Zygoma Three-finger palpation and Zygoma “bicycle handlebars” unwinding.
– Mandible bone: Mandible Thumbs – Internal Techniques, palpation and unwinding as well Mandible and Temporomandibular joint testing in two planes.
– Review the closing technique Cranio – Sacral hands to balance energy and fulcrum.

5. Myofascial Release level 1 – (6 hours):

Detailed outline of course: The understanding and application of myofascial release in the manual osteopathic practice will allow practitioners to learn the importance of various technique approaches to work the entire fascial matrix.

 ● What the participants are taught:
1. What is myofascial release 2. The initial assessment and communication with the client, 3. The palpatory and physical assessments, 4. How to apply the myofascial release techniques.

 ● What they will learn:
In section 1 – What is myofascial release, we will explore the following: elements of fascia, myofascial release concepts, benefits, and treatments.
In section 2 – The client consultation and medical history as well how to explain what myofascial release to clients is.
In section 3 – Tissue mobility, motility, and glide, what is traction- compression, skin rolling and rebounding techniques.
In section 4 – We are applying the cross-hand releases, the longitudinal plane releases, the compression releases and transverse plane releases.

 ● Clinical skills after completion:
Participants will be able after this session to incorporate a myofascial initial approach, an assessment of the myofascial matrix as well the various techniques learned through this workshop in their toolbox competency practice. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills and practice between their peers the various skills.

6. Myofascial Release level 2 – (6 hours):

Abstract:

The consolidation, exchange of discussions of the experience from the manual osteopath with the 4 technical skills learned in MFR level I. This workshop will then explore three new myofascial skills: skill rolling, rebounding, and working various planes with another therapist. We will explore and discuss scar tissue and adhesion management, what can MFR do to help these issues. By exploring the application of myofascial release through case studies, hands-on and theory content through Zoom workshop webinar. This will allow practitioner to consolidate and learn new technical skills as well have a deeper understanding of the importance of various MFR technique approaches to work the en tire fascial matrix.

What the participants are taught:
1. Consolidation of the 4 technical skills learned in MFR I 2. What are the myofascial lines and questions to explore when assessing clients 3. The three new skills: skill rolling, rebounding and working with another therapist 4. Explore and discuss scar tissues and adhesion management what can we do with MFR, as well what can vibration do to help myofascial release.

What they will learn:
In section 1 – Consolidation and sharing experiences from the manual osteopath practitioners: cross hand releases, the longitu dinal plane releases, the compression releases and transverse plane releases. Hands-on practice through case studies.
In section 2 – The client consultation and assessment link with the myofascial lines when exploring the client lifestyle and body posture.
In section 3 – Learning and applying three new skills: rolling, re bounding and working with another therapist. Hands-on practice through case studies
In section 4 – How can we apply MFR with clients presenting with scar tissues and adhesion, and how vibration can help myofascial release.

Clinical skills after completion:
Participants will be able after this session to consolidate and explore further their myofascial skills, an assessment of the myofascial matrix by better understanding these various myofascial lines, as well the various techniques learned through this work- shop, this means more tools in their toolbox competency practice.

7. Myofascial Release – Mentorship 1 – (3 hours):

Abstract:

This exclusive workshop will provide the opportunity for the practitioner to welcome Mr. Pasquale Fiore at their work environment to practice their myofascial release skills, to consolidate their comprehension of the Myofascial Release Level 1, to review the information and the technical skills by demonstrating, practicing and questioning any components that needs consolidation. This will allow the practitioners to provide some practical examples from their clients case load and discuss what they have applied from the continuing education webinar or/and workshop completed in the past months/years. It’s an excellent time to allow your questions flow and review the main skills from myofascial release.

8. Myofascial Release – Mentorship 2 – (3 hours):

Abstract:

This consolidated workshop will allow you to welcome Mr. Pasquale Fiore in your work environment, review all the Myofascial Release level 1 and the Myofascial Release level 2 techniques by demonstrating, questioning and going through some case studies with your practitioner educator. You can bring forward some of the complex clients you have provided treatments and the outcomes that you have observed, as well bring forward what are the fine tuning tips that you would probably need to bring some deeper tension release when applying the myofascia skills in your practice.
